What is the missing piece here?

I do not think changes in #Pakistan's laws can STOP such an incident from happening again. Mobs like these don't care for any kind of consequences. What is needed is teachings of Arabic & deeper understanding of Quran by Pakistan youth. We are not investing into preaching our children Quran & Arabic. We teach them English but teach them only a little bit of Arabic so that they can read Quran BUT not understand it. Thus, we see such events happen from time to time. I saw NA pass a unanimous resolution against such events but I doubt that their resolution is the cure for this. Those who killed #MashalKhan killed him under the impression & firm belief that he committed blasphemy. Someone convinced them about it. That someone must be convicted because he was most likely working for foreign agencies to defame Pakistan & Islam. But, what's next? Our law-makers are deviating from Sharia laws now feeling convinced that blasphemy act has to be modified. When the reality is that blasphemy act would have given protection to #Mashal had it been given the opportunity to work. What we must focus on modification of our youth behavior that is so naive & vulnerable to any such ploys & manipulations because of its lack of understanding of Quran in depth. We are creating Hafizs BUT we are NOT creating Islamic scholars who can read, understand & practice Quran as it is. Arabic must be made compulsory & Quran must be taught to all children & Pak Youth. That is the ONLY way to avoid any more of such events.

When a medical student destined to save lives changes her life course to that of taking lives; we must figure out what went wrong here. Had Noreen been taught Arabic leading to her in-depth understanding of Quran, would she have taken such a drastic step? We must teach our youth to read Quran understanding its every word without any translations. We must implement Arabic as a mandatory course for all children in order to give our children a thorough comprehension of Islam's message of peace. This will prevent them from getting manipulated by terrorist groups. We must arm our children with the shield of Quran comprehension that will resist against any mind programming by terrorists.
