The Debacle of Aasia Bibi

I see my country being transformed from that of an Islamic republic to a secular republic. Condemning blasphemous activists is frowned upon in the name of freedom of expression. Thus, blasphemy is being subtly encouraged. Aasia is a Christian woman living in Pakistan who probably felt isolated by the muslim majority around her. There seems to be from the general narrative a clash between neighbours where she got engaged in a heated argument with a muslim neighbour. She may have blurted out blasphemous statements as a result of this altercation leading to her 8 year predicament in Pakistan's cell. First of all Islam gives a lot of rights to your neighbours so the attitude of the muslim woman who refused to drink water from her used utensil is concerning. Muslims are allowed to eat in the same plate as the Ahl-e-Kitab. So, it does not make sense why the muslim neighbour refused unless she had an inherent problem with Aasia. Having said that, if this rejection & isolation prompted Aasia to utter hateful remarks about Islam & Prophet Muhammad (SAW) then that is not acceptable either. Blasphemy is a well-documented crime in Pakistan as part of its constitution. This law was not crafted by Pakistanis because there are quite a few muslim countries that practise this law. This law was practised during the times of Khilafat 1400 years ago. So, this is an ancient sacred law endorsed by all leading scholars of Islam. It cannot be changed or removed in a country that claims to be Islamic. There are many foreign elements wanting to remove this law or make it lose its efficacy. Ahmediyya community is playing a pivotal role in this. The charade of human rights is used to attack this law under the banner of various NGOs funded by such foreign elements. The reality is this that Islam prohibits any muslim from abusing Christians or their faith & Jews or their faith. The rights of non-muslims living in a muslim state are extremely important. How the muslim neighbours of Sheikhupura treated Aasia was not according to Sharia. They isolated her & treated her like an outcast. This is not what Islam teaches us. So the muslim neighbours did do wrong to Aasia. However, what Aasia did in response by slamming Islam was very wrong also because the women mistreating her were not following Islamic principles of observing the rights of your neighbours. Aasia should not have uttered blasphemous statements. Now that she did, these were recorded, documented & reported by her rivals. In Islam, punishment of a non-muslim living in a muslim country who knowingly commits blasphemy feeling no shame over his/her actions is to be sentenced to death. This law is being practised in most muslim countries. However, if he/she apologises & is ashamed over his/her words or actions promising to never do such a thing again then that is different. Then he/she is not given death penalty any more. A lot of information regarding Aasia has been either mis-reported or hidden. The foreign-funded pro-secular Islamophobic groups keep on saying that she never said anything blasphemous & these were all false allegations. The Islamic scholars say she did commit blasphemy & she is not ashamed of doing so and she must be hanged to death. So what we have are two sides giving the opposite narrative confusing the masses. What we need is a public statement of Aasia bibi as to her stance on Prophet Muhammad SAW & Islam. We need to know if she is ashamed of what she said or not. All she has to do is to appear on TV & say what she thinks. This will suffice. But, here is the problem. She is being shipped to foreign asylum under the guidance of anti-Islam lobbies who will use her as their trophy to show-case to the world that look Islam is how they say it is. So, technically by granting her a clean exit, our authorities have allowed our opponents to grab their prize that will be used like Rushdi & Hebdo for years. Aasia will become an international celebrity when she exaggerates the hardships she went through to stand by her "freedom of expression". Pakistan will not be complimented for letting her go but slammed for making her suffer for 8 years for her right to the freedom of expression. This is a very well-planned conspiracy against Pakistan. Unfortunately, our current government does not have the intellect to grasp the sensitivity of the issue.
What should have been done?
A proper JIT should have been made to investigate the matter in depth & to interrogate the witnesses as well. If Aasia was proven through this JIT that she has committed blasphemy she should have been asked if she is willing to publicly apologise or not. If she said no, then she should have been convicted. If she said yes, then she would have been treated in the light of Islamic laws that allow a lighter punishment for those who are ashamed. She has already spent 8 years in jail so that could have sufficed & then she could have been released. In this scenario, no one would have been angry. Now most of Pakistan is angry that why did our supreme court abandon the blasphemy law in this case? This has now become a matter of faith in Islam for the angry masses. These masses are convinced that Aasia committed blasphemy on purpose & she is not ashamed of it. So, if a revolution results it will be justified if Aasia did actually commit blasphemy. However, this revolution will also be a win-win situation for our enemies. They will flaunt the pictures of TLP on the streets portraying Pakistanis as "extremists" when the reality is that this entire Aasia fiasco was a carefully-planned conspiracy. India just got an Oxford report published that claims that Pakistan will be taken over by the Talibans who will then use its nukes against USA/NATO nations thus inciting these countries to stage an invasion in Pakistan. I won't be surprised to see that this whole argument that prompted Aasia to utter blasphemy could have been incited with the manipulation of a few secret societies currently working stealthily in Pakistan. The whole Aasia bibi debacle is a conspiracy until & unless proven otherwise. Why do I know this? Because even before her release all zionist & Indian owned media houses are being flooded with her "tales of a glorious legacy". Stage is being set for a trap & our current government out of its immaturity has made sure Pakistan falls in this trap.
